Glowin Tines is a one-bench shop in Riverton, Utah, run by a father and son — Chris and Tanner Duke. Everything here is drawn, cut, joined, and signed by hand, then left bare — nothing is farmed out, and nothing is finished in a hurry.
It started with
the hunt.
Glowin Tines started in 2016 as a father-and-son outfit built around a shared passion for mule deer hunting and taxidermy. Building the pedestals themselves came later, out of the same instinct that got us into hunting and taxidermy in the first place — if you're going to put in a whole season for one animal, the way it's presented should carry some of that.
Reclaimed barnwood was the obvious material once we started looking — it already has the history a trophy animal deserves standing under it. Every pedestal that leaves this shop was something else first — a hayloft floor, a granary wall, a beam somebody hewed by hand with a broadaxe and never expected anyone to look at again.
A good mount is the end of a long day and a longer season. The pedestal is part of that story too, not an afterthought under it. That is the whole argument for this shop.
Nothing new
All barnwood is salvaged — old barns, farms and outbuildings, sourced piece by piece as they come down. If we do not know what a board used to be, we do not build with it.
No finish at all
Colour comes from a century outdoors, not from a can or a coat of anything. We plane just enough to true a face and leave it bare — checks, nail shadow, and saw marks where they fell.
Built to the mount
Heights are set against your animal, not against a standard size chart. Send measurements and a photograph of the room, and we draw to those before anything is cut.
The shop is open
by appointment.
Bring the mount if you can. Standing it on three or four different bases in person settles the question faster than any photograph will.
