Every piece leaves here completely raw — no stain, no wax, no sealant of any kind. That keeps care simple, but bare wood does react to its surroundings more than a finished piece would. Utah's dry climate is easy on reclaimed wood — the main thing to watch for is sudden humidity swings and direct sun, which can fade or dry the surface unevenly over time.

• Dust with a dry cloth — no sprays, no oils
• If you want a finish down the road, a natural oil or wax can always be added later — the wood is left bare on purpose so that choice is yours, not made for you
• Keep it off a heat register and out of direct afternoon sun
