Hayloft
Hand-hewn elm, pulled from a loft floor where the axe marks still run the length of every board. We square just enough to true a face and leave the hewing marks everywhere else — they read like tool strokes across bare wood.

Ask to see the barnwood we have on hand
Every piece is one of one. The board we build yours from will not look exactly like the one photographed — we send you photographs of your actual barnwood before we cut.
Where this
one came from.
The Hayloft run comes from hand-hewn elm we tracked down piece by piece — old barns, farms and outbuildings around Utah, sold off board by board as they come down. We buy what looks right in person before it ever reaches the shop.
Once it is here, we sticker every board and let it sit before the first cut. The wear you see is not distressing — it is real years on the wood, and it is different on every board we get.
